Following up on a complaint about a possible drunk driver, police in Fergus pulled over a vehicle driven by a Cambridge man on Saturday (April 15) evening.
“It was reported that a vehicle was all over the road with irregular speed,” notes an OPP news release, explaining a white Volkswagen was subsequently stopped. “While speaking with the driver, officers formed the belief that he was impaired by alcohol.”
The driver, a 59-year-old Cambridge man, was arrested and taken to a nearby OPP detachment for testing. As a result, he is charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80 mg of alcohol in 100 ml of blood.
In addition, he received an administrative 90-day licence suspension and saw his vehicle impounded for seven days.
