Police line tape with a cruiser blurred in the background.A Brampton truck driver has been accused of driving drunk, fleeing the scene and driving while disqualified after a collision with a GO Transit bus in the area of Dixie Road and Steeles Avenue East Monday, April 17.

Peel Regional Police Service allege the accused had more than three times the legal limit of alcohol in his blood at the time.

Police say none of the 30 passengers on the bus were injured. The bus driver and truck driver also escaped injury.

The crash happened around noon and police say the transport truck had no trailer attached at the time. Police say the accused did not stop immediately, but did come to a stop nearby.

Sarwan Singh, 37, of Brampton has been charged with impaired driving, having excess alcohol in his system, driving while disqualified, dangerous driving and failing to remain at the scene of an accident.
